Louise Alston has directed nine feature films, the most recent being indie thriller IN HER LIKENESS for Bankable Films and HE HAD SEVEN WIVES on Lifetime 2024.
Previous to that, she directed rom coms THREE DATES TO FOREVER and THE WEDDING IN THE HAMPTONS on Peacock 2024.
For Passionflix, she directed adaptations of the New York Times bestselling novels RESISTING ROOTS 2023 and THE WILL 2020 available on Amazon. Her Disney Original film BACK OF THE NET released in 2019.
Louise’s second feature JUCY screened at Toronto International Film Festival among other festivals and this film and her breakout first feature, ALL MY FRIENDS ARE LEAVING BRISBANE have gone on to streamer success.

TV
In 2020 Louise directed Passionflix’s holiday anthology of 5 romance short stories. Comedy series STAGE MUMS began as a web series in 2017 and was picked up by Australian network, Channel 10.
Louise trained and directed on beloved UK-Australian family drama, NEIGHBOURS where she learned the craft of creating compelling, high turn over TV.

Education
A graduate of the Australian national film school (AFTRS) and the UCLA professional program in screenwriting, Louise has a doctorate in creative Arts from the University of Technology Sydney where she researched feminist neo noir film.
