Features
Louise Alston has directed twelve feature films, the most recent being an erotic thriller-horror for The Asylum studio in the USA called SOULMATE. Also in 2025 she directed a feature called ALL MY FRIENDS ARE BACK IN BRISBANE based on a play by Stephen Vagg.
In 2024 she directed an adaptation of New York Times bestselling romance novel LICK. Previously she directed adaptations of RESISTING ROOTS and THE WILL, also for Passionflix on Amazon. Her Lifetime thriller MY HUSBAND’S SEVEN WIVES was released in 2023.
Streaming on Peacock and Amazon are romcoms THREE DATES TO FOREVER and THE WEDDING IN THE HAMPTONS for Reel One and IN HER LIKENESS for Nicely. Her film BACK OF THE NET was released as a Disney Original in 2019.
Also in 2023, romcoms THREE DATES TO FOREVER and THE WEDDING IN THE HAMPTONS released on Peacock and Amazon for Reel One.

Louise’s second feature JUCY screened at Toronto International Film Festival among other festivals and this film and her breakout first feature, ALL MY FRIENDS ARE LEAVING BRISBANE have gone on to streamer success.
TV
In 2020 Louise directed Passionflix’s holiday anthology. Comedy series STAGE MUMS began as a web series in 2017 and was picked up by Australian network, Channel 10.
Louise trained and directed on beloved UK-Australian family drama, NEIGHBOURS.
Education
A graduate of the University of New South Wales, Australian national film school (AFTRS) and the UCLA professional program in screenwriting, Louise has a doctorate in creative arts from the University of Technology Sydney where she researched feminist neo noir film.
